Workday Assistant to launch in March

The Workday interface will soon include Workday Assistant, a virtual chatbot that uses natural language processing to provide quick access to a wide range of commonly sought actions.

Workday Assistant is one of several features of a more extensive update called Workday Today that has been in pilot mode for several months. While implementation of the other new enhancements - a new homepage and search feature - have been postponed until fall, Workday Assistant is on track to benefit the community beginning in mid-March.

By simply querying “What can you do?” in the Workday Assistant query box, users can choose from a long list of options to view or link to/edit, including:

  • Profile information
  • Time off balances
  • Co-worker contact information
  • COVID-19 information
  • Career search
  • Pay/direct deposit information
  • Expense reports

Managers will also have quick access to team information including anniversaries, birthdays, and time off.

The Workday Assistant icon will be integrated next month, and users will access the interface in the top right menu or on the bottom right of any screen within Workday.
