Save the date! ITS is offering a Foundations of Gender & Sexuality webinar

June 9, 2023

This 2.5-hour Foundations of Gender & Sexuality webinar will be offered through a hybrid format on Wednesday, July 19, from 9 -11:30 a.m. Those able to attend in person, please join us at 25 Science Park, room 125. An email with more information to follow for those who wish to join remotely.

Facilitated by Samuel Byrd Director, Office of LGBTQ Resources, this workshop aims to increase the awareness of student, faculty, staff, and community members of topics and issues pertaining to working with sexual and gender minorities at Yale University and connected communities.

Through this training, participants can become better equipped to support individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions within our current socio-historic-political contexts. Participants have opportunity to examine their own identities, socialization, and beliefs; raise awareness of others in our community, begin the process of critiquing paradigms and systems that are harmful to LGBTQ people, and pledge a commitment to enhancing allyship practices through an intersectional lens.
