Update to charging sponsored awards for use of the Greenberg Conference Center

Effective July 1, 2023, changes to the restrictions of charging sponsored awards were implemented, as follows:
Facility rental charges incurred for use of the Greenberg Conference Center (not Betts House), which is managed by Yale Conferences & Events, are now allowable on sponsored awards when the terms of the sponsored award and all applicable allowability, allocability, reasonable and necessary conditions have been met. This does not include additional costs that may be incurred for renting the space, such as audiovisual/technology, linens, after-hours custodial, YC&E management fee, and other add-on services. Notify YC&E in advance when sponsored awards will be used to cover the cost of an event for pre-approval of charging to a sponsored award.
Reminder: Restrictions on charging or moving charges to sponsored awards for services provided by other service providers, including Yale Printing and Publishing Services, as described in the Business Update published on November 9, 2022, are still in effect.
