  • In July, Yale updated the 3201 PR.01 Purchase Order Process to create a clearly documented and comprehensive Purchase Order (PO) procedure.
  • Purchase Order Procedure information sessions will be held to review the updated 3201 PR.01 Purchase Order Process, demonstrate the new PO Dashboard/Reports, and answer your questions about creating, managing, and closing Purchase Orders (POs).
  • A Quick Reference Guide is now available to assist purchase order requisitioners and approvers through the steps of the PO lifecycle.

Details

In July, 3201 PR.01 Purchase Order Process was updated to create a clearly documented and comprehensive Purchase Order (PO) procedure that establishes a baseline for correctly executing POs and is a reference for guiding the users through the PO life cycle. In keeping with the OneFinance strategic initiative, the updated procedure establishes standards and best practices for creating and managing POs to save time, reduce rework, and ensure the timely receipt of purchases.

Purchase order procedure information sessions

We will hold a series of Purchase Order Procedure Information Sessions in November. During these sessions, we will:

  • Highlight enhancements to the procedure.
  • Review the new Purchase Order Quick Reference Guide.
  • Demonstrate the new Workday PO Dashboard and Reports.

Please come prepared with questions on POs, the updated procedure, and reference materials or guides.
