Summary
Yale ITS will retire the Secure File Transfer Facility service (files.yale.edu) on Monday, February 28, 2022.
- Service users will need to begin using OneDrive or their University email to share new files or messages. See instructions detailed further in this message.
- As of Wednesday, February 23, 2022, your files.yale.edu sent files are no longer retrievable.
- This service is not related to Managed File Transfer.
Details
To share new files or messages, service users will need to:
- Set up a secure file transfer folder in OneDrive to share files or folders
- Request a file upload from an individual using OneDrive
- Use email to send a secure message when you have sensitive information to share:
- Microsoft 365 mail users – Microsoft 365: Sending/Receiving an encrypted email
- EliApps mail users – EliApps Google Apps for Education: Send and open encrypted emails
