In-person tours resume for new staff members
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the University’s New Employee Orientation program has been presented via Zoom. For the near future, we will continue this approach as it is currently the best way to accommodate varying work arrangements.

To help new staff members connect with campus and one another, we are inviting them to attend an optional in-person tour to extend their orientation experience. Tours begin at the Yale Visitor Center and end “down at the tables at Mory’s” for nibbles, networking, and give-aways. Please feel free to extend the registration for the next tour to your new staff members. Register for a tour today.

Celebrate our Latinx community
Yale celebrates Latinx Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) in honor of community members with ancestry from Latin America, inclusive of all races and genders. The opportunities in which your team can engage range from theater to books/library resources to courses to events like “Somos Latinx Families” (webinar series through Nov. 28), “Brazilian Jazz Performance with Isabella Mendes” (Oct. 3), and “An Evening of Argentine Tango Dance” (Oct. 6). October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month
“Your Small Steps Protect Yale’s Big Missionis the theme of next month’s Cybersecurity awareness campaign. Join the Yale community to support this message: “By working together, we have the power to make a big difference for your security, both at home and at Yale.”

Katie, an operations manager in Financial Planning and Analysis, is among the 58 staff who have received an Employee Referral Program award. Upon receiving her award, she shared that “…this program is a win-win. We are getting great new employees to fill the open positions at the university and we are rewarding our current employees for assisting with the recruitment process. I encourage all employees that have professional networks to consider utilizing the Employee Referral Program.” Learn how you can receive up to $2,000 for referring top talent to Yale.
