Last summer, Yale University Operations launched a collaborative set of multi-year strategic initiatives in support of the university’s mission. YourYale sat down with Jack Callahan, Jr., senior vice president for operations, to hear more about the operations strategy and these initiatives. This interview has been lightly edited and condensed.

Has a member of your staff expressed an interest in becoming a manager at Yale? If so, please consider nominating him or her for the Aspiring Manager Program. Our employees are our greatest assets, and their development is a top priority. To reinforce this commitment, the university offers the Aspiring Manager Program to provide staff members with the chance to explore management at Yale and acquire the knowledge and resources they need to successfully consider becoming a Yale manager.

2023 Child Care Subsidy Program
Apply for reimbursement for the 2023 Child Care Subsidy Program, which is open to benefit-eligible faculty, managerial and professional staff, postdoctoral associates, and postdoctoral fellows with children from infant to age five. The next Child Care Subsidy Program Information Session is on August 29 at 11 a.m. Register with VPN.

Employee Referral Program extended
Employee Referral Program: In alignment with Yale’s Recruiting Strategic Initiative, focused on attracting highly talented and diverse employees, this program has been extended through June 2024. Encourage your teams to learn how they can earn up to $2,000 through this program.
