When you enroll in Aetna Smart Care with a PayFlex Health Savings Account (HSA) you will also receive Aetna Accident Protection when you or your covered dependents incur an accidental minor or serious injury—free of charge.

EyeMed Vision Coverage
EyeMed offers two options for Yale faculty and staff members: EyeMed Basic, which provides allowances for frames and lenses, and EyeMed Enhanced, which also covers eye exams and more frequent hardware allowances as well as other valuable enhancements.

Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier
Delta Dental is Yale’s exclusive dental carrier. You can locate a participating dentist by calling 1-800-452-9310 or searching the Delta Dental website. You can also manage your benefits and download your ID card through My Dashboard when you set up your account.

Aflac Short-term Disability
Aflac pays cash benefits to you when you’re ill or injured off-the-job to help cover expenses that major medical insurance does not. During Annual Enrollment, you can newly elect or cancel voluntary Aflac short-term disability. As a new hire, you are eligible to enroll during your first 30-days of employment.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA), allows you to pay for qualified health care and dependent care out-of-pocket expenses with pre-tax dollars. You must enroll or re-enroll in an FSA each year during annual benefits enrollment.
