Introducing YourYale
The It’s Your Yale website is now home to a new weekly e-newsletter, YourYale, for and about the staff; learn more about what to expect.
The university provides access to several resources ranging from assistance with financing your education to eliminating student loan debt.
Eligible employees have access to multiple programs to help reduce the cost of higher education. Additional information and how to apply for tuition assistance can be found on the Educational Assistance Programs page.
The Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) is a federal program designed to reduce the burden of student loan debt for eligible individuals who work for qualified public interest employers. As a not-for-profit university, Yale is considered a public service employer and has partnered with TIAA and Savi to offer a PSLF program to Yale employees to manage the burden of student loan debt.
A federal PSLF student loan debt forgiveness program can make your monthly payments affordable and provide longer-term relief with loan forgiveness for eligible borrowers. Try Savi’s free student loan debt forgiveness calculator to see if you might qualify.
Eligible Yale University Faculty, Managerial and Professional staff, and Post-Doctoral Associates have exclusive access to Bright Horizons College Coach. While this benefit is used for navigating your child’s education, it may also be useful for your own student loan repayment or future education decisions. Bright Horizons College Coach provides access to live events that cover a range of topics, including determining the best way to pay for higher education and strategies for student loan repayment.
Eligible employees can find additional information and how to register for an educational event on the College Coach page.
